Throughout the years that I practiced, I was often referred to as “Dr. Primavera!” The name stuck with me and reminds me of those sweet children I cared for and their families. It also happens to be one of my favorite pasta dishes made with an array of fresh, seasonal vegetables. It is a dish packed with nutrients that can be modified as seasons change, a dish using simple ingredients one often has on hand, and a dish that can really bring a table of people together. It is exactly the name that describes my vision for Mamma Primavera’s Village. And today as a mom home raising three boys, I am Mamma Primavera.
